Junior Teams
At Sheffield Tigers Junior Netball Club, we’re proud to offer a vibrant, high-energy programme for girls from Year 3 through to Year 11, where passion for netball meets genuine player development.
Our sessions are led by a dedicated team of Level 2 and Level 1 coaches who bring experience, structure and enthusiasm to every training night. Alongside them, our brilliant young leaders play a huge role in creating a positive, relatable environment, helping to inspire the next generation of players both on and off the court.
We’re not just focused on skills with a ball. Our players also benefit from regular sessions with an experienced, certified Strength and Conditioning coach, supporting their physical development, injury prevention and overall athletic performance in a safe and age-appropriate way.
At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to providing a safe, supportive and empowering space where every girl can grow in confidence, build resilience and enjoy being part of a team. Whether they’re taking their first steps into netball or striving to compete at a higher level, our junior pathway is designed to challenge, develop and celebrate every player.
Sheffield Tigers is more than just a club, it’s a community where girls are encouraged to work hard, support each other and be proud of their progress every step of the way.
Competitive Teams
Our competitive pathway at Sheffield Tigers is designed for players who are ready to challenge themselves, commit to their development and experience netball at a higher level.
This season, we were proud to have our U16 squad competing in the Regional League. While results didn’t fall where we would have liked, the journey behind the scenes tells a much bigger story. With changes in coaching across the season, the group faced a level of disruption that can naturally impact consistency and performance at this level of competition.
Despite this, the squad showed resilience, adaptability and a real commitment to each other. Competing regionally is a significant step up, both physically and mentally, and every game provided valuable experience that will support their long-term development as athletes.
Although we were unable to field a U14 Regional team this year, our focus remains firmly on building strength across all age groups, ensuring we create sustainable, competitive pathways for the future. Looking ahead, we are committed to being progressive and forward-thinking, with both U14 and U16 squads set to enter Regional Qualifiers this coming season.
Beyond league competition, our players are given opportunities to broaden their experience through a range of tournaments, including those hosted by South Yorkshire Netball, Butlins and Loughborough, as well as regular friendly fixtures for our younger teams who are not yet in leagues. We work hard to strike a healthy balance between training, league fixtures and additional competition, while also ensuring as many players as possible have the opportunity to represent the club in wider tournaments and development environments.
Our competitive programme continues to be supported by experienced coaches and structured training, alongside strength and conditioning provision, ensuring players are prepared for the demands of higher-level netball.
We’re incredibly proud of the effort, attitude and determination shown by all of our players this season. These experiences, both the challenges and the successes, are what shape stronger, more confident athletes, and we’re excited for what lies ahead.
