Coaches

Behind every Sheffield Tigers team is a group of passionate coaches committed to helping our players get the very best from their netball.

Our coaching team brings together experience, enthusiasm and a real love of the game. Whether they’re developing our youngest players, building confidence and skills, or pushing our competitive teams to perform at their best, they all share the same goal — creating an environment where every player can grow, enjoy their netball and feel part of the Tigers family.

Kara Glover

Netball has been a huge part of my life for over 40 years, and coaching gives me the opportunity to share that passion with others. I love seeing players grow in confidence, develop their skills and, most importantly, enjoy being part of a team. For me, netball is about so much more than what happens on court — it’s about friendships, resilience, belonging and creating an environment where everyone feels supported and encouraged to be their best.

Head Coach

Crystal Buchanan

Crystal Buchanan is a fun, enthusiastic Level 2 Netball Coach and experienced Primary School Teacher, currently working as Head of Sport at Mylnhurst Prep School. Crystal is passionate about netball and loves watching young players learn the game, make new friends and develop their confidence both on and off the court.

Crystal is also the founder of Tigers Netball, which she established after recognising the limited opportunities available for young girls to play competitive netball. Her vision is to create a fun, friendly and supportive environment where girls can develop their skills, enjoy competing, make lasting friendships and build a lifelong love of the game.
