WELCOME TO SHEFFIELD TIGERS
We’re so excited to have you all with us, from our youngest U8 players right through to our U16s. Whether you’re completely new to netball or have been playing for years, this club is about giving every girl the chance to learn, grow, and enjoy the game in a supportive and positive environment.
At Tigers, we value teamwork, effort, and having fun, and we can’t wait to see each of you develop your skills, build confidence, and be part of something special.
OUR CLUB
Sheffield Tigers Junior Netball Club was founded by Crystal Buchanan in 2016. Crystal has a passion for netball and is an experienced primary school teacher with over 12 years teaching experience and a background in PE.
On noticing the lack of opportunities for children in Sheffield to play netball, Crystal applied to England Netball for funding to start a new junior club. Funding was granted and very quickly the club began to gain a lot of interest. The club has grown from just 18 members to become an Affiliated England Netball Club with over 200 members.
The club is inclusive, providing quality coaching to children of all abilities aged 7 to 18.
We have built strong relationships with other local netball clubs and arrange competitive match opportunities throughout the season.
We also hold social events so the children can relax, have fun and get to know each other better.
These include an end of season awards evening for all members and their parents as well as a Christmas social event and a Spring fundraiser.
