Crystal Buchanan
Club Captain, Head Coach Under 16s and Safeguarding Officer
Crystal is the founder and captain of the club and an outstanding primary school teacher with over 12 Years teaching experience. She is currently Head of Girls Games at Mylnhurst Preparatory and loves coaching netball and running the club. Crystal enjoys playing netball in her spare time when she’s not running after her toddler twin girls.
Michelle Franklin
Head Coach Under 16-18s, Level 2
Michelle is a Level 2 coach who joined the club in 2018.
She plays netball regularly in the South Yorkshire County and Sheffield leagues. Michelle works as a practice nurse and in her spare time she really likes to watch netball, travel and go on city breaks to see new places.
Abbie Clarke
Head Coach Under 13/14s, Level 2
Abbie was awarded her Level 2 qualification in 2019 and joined the club in 2020 as the head coach for our U13/14 squad. Abbie graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a Sports Coaching degree and is now a PE teacher at a local school.
Abbie was approached by Sheffield Hallam University to coach the 5th / Development team whilst completing her studies and was nominated for Grassroots Coach of the Year 2019. As well as this she was up for the nomination of Coach of the Year at the Sheffield Hallam Sports Ball 2019.
Abbie is super proud to be part of Tigers and loves working with the 13/14 squads! She can’t wait to continue her coaching and see the girls grow & develop as players!
Shaunna Girling
Head Coach Under 11s, Level 2
Shaunna is a level 2 qualified coach specialising in working with primary age children. She is head coach for the Under 11s with a wealth of netball coaching experience and has also taught swimming in educational and recreational settings across Sheffield. She works as a Nurture teacher at a Sheffield primary school and specialisesin working with SEND children.
Shaunna plays netball for Tigers in the South Yorkshire league.
Lauren Hamer
Head Coach Under 16-18s, Level 2
Lauren is originally from Essex and studies Biomedical Science at the University of Sheffield. She has played netball since she was at primary school and has played at club and county level, now playing for the University of Sheffield. Lauren gained her Level 1 coaching award aged 16 and achieved her Level 2 award through Tigers in 2021. As well as Head Coach for the U16-U18 age groups, Lauren also assists with the U8-U11s and is the Head Coach for the University of Sheffield BUCS teams 1-5. Lauren says she loves being part of the Tigers team because it is such a warm and welcoming club where she gets to watch all the children grow as players.
Yasmin Shaw
Head Coach Under 13s, Level 2
Yasmin has played for Tigers since 2018 and joined our junior coaching team in 2020. She is Head Coach for our amazing under 13s and also supports our younger age groups. She has a Level 2 qualification in Netball Coaching a Level 2 qualification in Community Sports Leadership. She is currently completing her umpiring qualifications. Yasmin plays netball for Sheffield University where she is in her final year studying Business Management.
Isabelle Rolfe
Head Coach Under 12s, Level 2
Isabelle became a Tigers coach in September 2021, having previously coached at another local club for 3 years. She is the head coach for the U12s and also coaches the U13 and U14 squads.
Isabelle studies PE and School Sport at Sheffield Hallam University and loves any form of activity from paddle boarding to bouldering as well as assisting in forest schools!
Isabelle is a Level 2 qualified coach who also coaches two development squads for Sheffield Hallam University and has the privilege of travelling the country to play in BUCS matches.
